Both Michael and Robert made it to the final table of event 2 at this years WSOP. It was a $50,000 Poker Player`s Championship and Michael Mizrachi was the one who managed to win this prestigious event. The final hand saw him holding Q5 vs Schmelev`s Q8 who had him dominated before flop. The flop came down 9 6 4 and it was a magic 5 of hearts which gave Michael the lead and 1st place finish, earning himself $1,559,046. Vladimir Schmelev, who finished 2nd, earned $963,375 for 2nd place finish. After Michael was crowned as champion, here is what he said in an interview with ESPN`s Norman Chad:
"I knew if I played slow it would frustrate him. This was definitely worth the wait. It`s one of the most prestigious events you can possibly win, especially with my brother in there. I put his chips to good use."
His brother Robert Mizrachi also made it to the final table and finished on 5th place which saw him leave the field with $341,429 added to his poker bankroll.
